Samsung Launched Galaxy Note 10.1 Tablet To Beat Apple iPad

Samsung has launched its new Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet on Thursday (that's today). Initially, this device is available in United States, Britain and South Korea. Earlier this month, Samsung sent out a notice to the media that it would release a new Galaxy device on August 15. And, the rumors were that Samsung would launch Galaxy Note 10.1 on that day. Finally the speculations have come true. The launch of the new Galaxy Note 10.1 came just weeks before the anticipated launch of 5.3-inch Galaxy Note 2.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet came out at a time when Apple and Samsung are fighting toe-to-toe in court over a $2.5 billion patent infringement case. According to analysts, the launch of Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet is part of Samsung’s strategy to challenge Apple’s dominance in the market.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 is slightly larger than Apple’s iPad which is measured 9.7-inch. The new tablet offers some clearly distinctive features. Galaxy Note 10.1 includes a stylus-based note taking and sketching function. It also offers screen split feature that allows users to use two apps side-by-side on the same screen.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 runs on Google’s Android platform. The device is equipped with a quad-core processor with 1.4 GHz clock speeds, a 5 megapixel rear camera and a 1.9 megapixel front facing camera, 16 gigabytes of memory, Wi-Fi. The 16GB and 32GB version of the Galaxy Note 10.1 will be sold for $499 and $549, respectively.
